Open Farm Sunday 2017

Open Farm Sunday 2017Sunday 11th June saw the launch of our second annual Open Farm Sunday in conjunction with charity ‘Farms for City Children’ at Lower Treginnis Farm in St. Davids.

A rather windy farm greeted visitors keen to find out more about where their food comes from and experience a farm first-hand. This year we had our amazing face-painter back, keen to turn all children into farm animals whilst they enjoyed the day – all for a donation to the charity! Children got to experience milking the goats, feeding the goats and meeting the pigs, as well as taking part in the Puffin Produce Sustainability Station competition and the Blas y Tir Treasure Trail.

As usual, we were on hand to hand out samples of our new-season Pembrokeshire Early Potatoes too, served simply boiled with butter and mint, which went down a storm.

This event is a fantastic, free family day out and great for supporting a local charity, the local environment and talking about local produce with our customers!

We’ll see you all again next year!
